Do I have to purchase Bite Size tour tickets in advance? Can I pay cash?

Bite Size Tour tickets must be purchased in advance as tours sell out quickly. To maximize your chances of getting a desired day, time, and number of tickets, please book well in advance. Tickets can only be purchased with a Visa, AMEX, or MasterCard. Cash is not accepted. Click here to purchase tickets.

Can I get a refund or reschedule my Bite Size Tour tickets?

Once purchased, tickets cannot be refunded or rescheduled because your space is being guaranteed on the tour. Our tours often sell out. No partial credits or rescheduling is allowed for partial attendance, no shows, or late arrivals. In order to experience and enjoy your Bite Size Tour, it is vital that you show up at the right location ON TIME! The tours depart promptly.

If a Bite Size Tour is sold out, can I get on a waiting list?

We do not provide a waiting list. If a date and time is sold out, there is always a chance that Bite Size will add an additional tour on that day. Click here to purchase tickets.

What is included in my Bite Size Tour ticket price?

All food and drinks are included.  You are able to make separate purchases for other beverages should you choose to do so. Each tour varies as to its offerings. Come hungry, your tummy will be filled! Gratuities are appreciated and accepted by our guides.

What about tickets for children?

Bite Size does not offer discounted tickets for children and seniors. Child must be at least 12 years of age.

Are there any age restrictions?

Bite Size Tours are limited to those who are at least 12 years of age. Other than that, if you have two feet and a heart beat you are in!!  This is because some children have a limited attention span and a 3-31/2 hour tour may not be appropriate for them. Remember that there is some standing and walking so customers with mobility issues will want to take this into consideration for our walking tours.

Do we just walk around and taste food on Bite Size tours?

No. You will not only enjoy GREAT tastings but, you will also learn fun local facts. The Bite Size Tour is fully narrated by your Bite Size Tour guide (who has been thoroughly trained by one or more professional Houston tour guides, who will discuss food, fun facts, history, culture, and entertainment that each Houston area locale has to offer. When is the best time to take a Bite Size Tour?

We highly recommend taking a Bite Size Tour at the beginning of your visit so you allow plenty of time to revisit your favorite food tasting locations. How much food is served on the Bite Size tours?

Are there any beverages served on the Bite Size tours?

Yes, all of the taste locations will serve water. Depending on the tour and soft drinks, alcohol will either be included or available for purchase. Your guide will let you know.

Are the tours accessible by strollers and wheelchair?

No, unfortunately Bite Size Tours are not allowed to have strollers or wheelchairs on our tours, due to the crowds and tight spaces in the food establishments we visit.

What happens if it rains or snows?

Bite Size Tours are held in rain, snow or sunshine. You should dress appropriately for the day’s weather conditions, wear comfortable shoes and bring an umbrella if necessary.

Is there parking nearby the tour meeting point?

Yes, free parking is available. Meeting location is provided upon confirmation of paid registration.

Are tours offered only in English?

Yes, at this time Bite Size Tours are only offered in English.

Can I book a private tour?

Yes. Private Bite Size Tours are available. Please contact the Bite Size Tours staff by email at BiteSizeHoustonTours@aol.com.

Can Bite Size Tours accommodate my dietary restrictions or food allergies?

We CAN provide substitutions for vegetarians and those who have shellfish allergies, but we CANNOT make substitutions for any other food allergies (such as gluten-free, dairy-free, etc) or food lifestyles choices (vegan, low-carb, paleo, primal, Whole 30, etc).

Because the tastings have been prepared in advance at each location, substitutions MUST be requested in advance with your ticket purchase. Please make a note in your reservation on the “comments” portion at checkout. We will not be able to accommodate last minute changes.

Does the Bite Size Guide accept gratuities?

Gratuities are ALWAYS greatly appreciated by our guides. Let them know how much you enjoyed your tour! Pre-payment of gratuity is provided at checkout for your convenience as tour guides do not carry change. Thank you.

Is there anything I need to bring?

Just your appetite!! A few suggestions include bug repellant (especially during summer months), umbrella (the city is known for its impromptu showers) and suntan lotion (yes, it gets hot here and you can burn very easily).  Don’t forget comfortable shoes.

What should I wear?

Dress Suggestions: If your tour is during happy hour understand that you will be mixing with people who are coming straight from work.  “Smart Casual”  is always your best bet! Cowboy boots are always welcome of course…this is TEXAS! Lol.
